Timed openings
Set a gate to open at a time of day or on repeat: break feeding, a shift change, letting the mob onto fresh grass at first light. It runs whether you’re there or not.
How it works
Gate Keeper is a retrofit. It fits the farm gate you already own and turns it into something you set once and stop thinking about. Here’s how it works.
Setup
Open the app next to the unit and pair it. No account juggling, no field wiring. From there you write the gate’s rules in plain language: when to open, how long before it closes, and when it should sing out. Change your mind at the gate and it takes the new rule on the spot.
The programming
Set a gate to open at a time of day or on repeat: break feeding, a shift change, letting the mob onto fresh grass at first light. It runs whether you’re there or not.
Give it a delay and the gate shuts itself once stock is through. No more doubling back because a gate got left swinging.
If a gate stays open longer than your rule allows (wind, a dropped latch, a forgotten pass) it pings your phone before stock get where they shouldn’t.
Every open, close and exception is logged and sent back to your farm-management system, so the record keeps itself.
Power & reach
The whole system assumes the worst: no mains, no reliable coverage, mud and weather. That’s the point.
Where the data goes
The unit acts on its rules and records every open and close.
Status makes it back to the homestead, and alerts fire the moment they’re raised.
Movements sync to your farm-management system as a clean log.
